Minnesota Golden Gopher football, played in Huntington Bank Stadium (formerly TCF Bank Stadium), is known around the country for their motto "Row the Boat" and their renowned "do the gopher" dance between the third and fourth quarter. Less known is that Huntington Bank Stadium boasts the largest home locker room in all collegiate and professional football stadiums as well as one of the biggest video screens in the nation.

Spoonbridge and Cherry is a sculptural fountain with an gigantic cherry resting 30 feet in the air on a spoon. Designed by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen, the pop art sculpture is located in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, which is one of the largest urban sculpture parks in the world. In addition to the Giant Spoon and Cherry Sculpture, you can also see a massive blue rooster!

Walter Library's opulent interior reflects its Beaux-Arts architecture and displays over 225 owls carved into its walls.  This library provides resources for science, chemistry and engineering, including the Minnesota Super Computing Institute, and at one time, housed the first supercomputer of any U.S. university.

Cyrus Northrop Memorial Auditorum ("Northrup") was constructed in 1929 as a venue for the peforming arts and continues to host theatrical performances, concerts and even political debates.  During World War II, over 3,600 student nurses were inducted into the Cadet Nurse Program on the steps of Northrup Auditorium, allowing more experienced nurses to serve abroad.
